Dear Friends of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Marineo,
yesterday we celebrated Easter Resurrection of Our Lord. We entered it during the Easter season, a long time of joy and rebirth, which reaches its climax on the day of Pentecost in which commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and Mary, and then the early Church. The Spirit gives life to everything and still makes present in our lives the whole paschal mystery. We should strive to rely more often the third person of the Holy Trinity for you to fill us with gifts of His saints.

I feel the need to prepare already now the feast of Pentecost from the beginning to rediscover the depth and beauty of the 7 gifts we received in full and sublime with the sacrament of Confirmation. I thought I would share this experience with you each week by sending a brief reflection on the seven gifts of the Spirit. These reflections are drawn from a booklet entitled "The seven gifts of the Holy Spirit" Don Andrea Oldoni. It 'a pocket-sized booklet, very few pages, but full of meaning. In a wonderful and concise describes the meaning of each gift received. Not long catechesis, then, but hopefully short and effective ideas that could help us rediscover our identity as Christians. 
Today begins with the gift of "wisdom." I will send you a debate a week so that in 7 weeks (before Pentecost) we have examined all seven gifts of the Spirit. I would suggest reading before invoking the Spirit so that He himself will enlighten and prepare your heart and your mind to accept what the Spirit tells us through the reading of these brief reflections.
